I saw this post by polished-mi and I loved it so much that I just had to try it out myself. Have to say, don’t think I did too badly, considering I had to line it free hand and I’m not that great at freehand things yet. And it’s definitely no-where near as good as the original, but as a first try? I’d say it’s pretty damn sweet :P
Baby You’re A Firework
From This Tutorial by SimpleLittlePleasures. I wanted something simple and something I’d done before, so I plucked this one out of my Tutorial playlist and went to work. It’s more of a evening/party look, but it’ll do for now :)
Use a butter knife to scrape eyeshadow out of it’s container (You can use old/cheap eyeshadow) and crush it up on a piece of paper so that it’s in a powder consistency
Using a bottle of clear nail polish, roll your paper into the shape of a funnel and add the eyeshadow into the bottle. You might want to empty come of clear nail polish out before so it doesn’t overflow (or use nail polish that’s opened already)
Use a toothpick to mix up the color into the bottle. Shake until all the powder is evenly distributed.
Paint your nails!
Definitely going to be trying this out some time!!!
Just had my nails gelled so I thought I’d try something new. I’ve been wanting to try a gradient effect for ages but it never seemed to work right for me. Until I found this Neon Rainbow Ombre tutorial by NikkieTutorial. The wet sponge really helped to blend it nicely!
If I’m going to be honest, I’m not completely sure on how they turned out. Not bad for a first try, but I think I’ll try them against white next time and not nude. They’re not punchy enough for my liking :P
Ever wanted to paint pretty designs on your nails and then realized that it was impossible to do yourself because you have a dominant hand? Paint the designs onto a ziploc bag and then peel them off and place them on your nail!! Finish with top coat :) Whoa..
I’m going to a 90’s themed birthday party tonight, and what’s more 90’s than the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers? ;P Thought I’d pay a little tribute to my 6yearold self, who wanted to be Kimberly Hart, the Pink Ranger, when she grew up :D
